Pills Health News
What I did find is that most of the time Vasomax could transform a life devastated by ED. At last, I was able to help my patients with the most effective means available. A fast-acting pill with virtually no side effects produced erections in men who had been incapable of having them, sometimes for a decade or more. The only thing the pill required was normal sexual stimulation. This last point truly distanced Vasomax from the realm of the now-outdated treatments for ED. For the first lime, a medication for men tapped into the emotional component of sex.
Remember Frank, the justifiably angry patient who goaded me about finding an oral cure for his ED? He was one of my first patients to try Vasomax. Immediately he was able to achieve the type of natural erection he thought was lost to him forever. With renewed virility and restored confidence, Frank was able to embark on a satisfying long-term relationship.
Frank’s story was far from unique. In so many patients I saw the renewal of erections:
• disrupted by atherosclerosis. In the case of Andrew, a fifty-two-year-old with a history of excess weight and high cholesterol, the change was dramatic. Having suffered from ED for five years, his marriage was crumbling as fast as his confidence. As soon as he began taking Vasomax, his life, as he told me, “did a complete 180 degree turn. For the first time in years I feel like myself again. I feel so much better that now I’m even psyched to lose weight and finally get in shape. And I want to give my marriage another try. Now I think we can work things out.”
• interrupted for years by diabetes. Harry, a fifty-eight-year-old whose late-developing diabetes had begun to impact on his sex life, had another reaction. “I thought sex was a thing of the past. Between my divorce and my condition, I had actually talked myself into believing that this is the way things have to be. Now that I know they don’t have to be that way, it’s a whole new world. It’s scary—but it’s exciting.”
• halted by Parkinson’s disease. Fred, the one who had given me his opinions of medical research, was another patient who responded incredibly well to Vasomax. While the progression of his disease was slow, his ED had, effectively, begun to put the brakes on his sex life. His wife of twenty-six years was patient and understanding, but, he admitted, “It just wasn’t the same between us. How could it be? With this new drug we’re strengthening our bond, and our relationship is growing in a whole new way.”
• halted for eighteen months following a serious bicycle injury. Scott, who at twenty-five had experienced some ED, was enormously relieved. “I was beside myself,” he told me. “My wife always believed that I would make a full recovery, but I had my doubts. A year and a half without sex is one thing. Thinking that you’ll never have it again is another. Now, I’m the man I was—and I can stay that way.”
• lapsed due primarily to psychological causes for eight years. While the new medications can eradicate physiologically induced ED in men, we should not forget that it can also be used by men whose problems are psychological in nature. With Edward, a forty-two-year-old who had a history of depression and whose resultant ED made him shy away from women, the change was startling. “I feel better than I ever did,” he told me. “I feel that maybe I’m no different from anyone else—for the first time in my life. Thank you for helping me this way.”
